This Thursday, 4th february 2021, the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation is participating in the conference „News from foundations and NPOs during the Coronavirus crisis“, organised by the French-speaking branch of proFonds.
This event is an opportunity to provide an overview of the latest news, particularly the legal ones, from Swiss foundations and non-profit associations. The speakers will also present various aspects of the Covid-19 crisis and the impact on foundations and non-profit organisations.
Sabrina Grassi, General Director of the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation will present three collaborative initiatives that emerged under the umbrella of SPF during the health crisis: The „Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund“ for the WHO, co-hosted with the United Nations Foundation, which raised $240 million, the „Covid-19 Rapid Aid Fund“ to help NGOs impacted by the health crisis and the „Verbier Festival Emergency Relief Fund“ an emergency aid fund for musicians in precarious situations during the pandemic.
