The Demaimpact collaborative fund, launched by the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation (SPF) alongside three other foundations, enables young people from all backgrounds to get involved in philanthropy.
During the first year of this unique and innovative participative governance initiative, an initial group of 10 young people, aged between 18 and 30, supported projects by and for young people in French-speaking Switzerland. With the support of philanthropy experts WISE Philanthropy Advisors, they selected 4 projects under the theme of education, with the aim of promoting social integration.
On 9 March 2024, the group of young people, together with the SPF and WISE team, had the pleasure of discovering and taking part in the activities carried out as part of the project they had chosen to support within Fondation IdéeSport. On site, they were able to see volunteer coaches supervise young people from the region in fun activities such as basketball, football and table football, with the aim of promoting peer health and developing psychosocial skills in young people through sport. The centre also hosted EverFresh, which used distorting glasses to raise young people’s awareness of the risks of alcohol.
