The first impact report for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization has been released.
It covers the period between the Fund’s launch on March 13 to May 1, 2020 and provides updates on the early use of the Fund’s resources, as well as details about WHO’s and its partners’ efforts to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, consistent with the Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan (SPRP).
Generous donations have helped WHO and its partners lay critical groundwork for curbing the spread of the virus and mitigating its worst effects, especially for low-resource countries, as well as coordinating and accelerating research and development efforts around the world.
