Unique in French-speaking Switzerland, this practical training is organized by Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, in partnership with the Geneva Centre for Philanthropy at the University of Basel (CEPS) and the Center for Philanthropy at the University of Geneva.
This edition took place from August 26 to 28, 2020 at Château de Bossey (VD) and brought together 22 participants from Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Lucerne, Verbier and Zurich, but also from Italy. The majority of them come from the foundation sector but also from the financial, banking and legal fields.
Coming from various backgrounds and with very varied objectives, the profiles of the participants brought great richness to the discussions, thus facilitating interactions, knowledge sharing and networking.
The three days were punctuated by the intervention of experts in philanthropy, in fields as varied as they are complementary, relating to governance, the organization of the structure, the motivation of philanthropists, impact but also sustainable finance. These contributions were supplemented by the testimonies of four representatives of the various roles in philanthropy: philanthropist, member of the board of a donor foundation or project leader, on various themes, such as development aid, health and science. .
Participants unanimously declared themselves “better equipped” to face the challenges and opportunities that arise in philanthropy.
“Wonderful training. Lots of knowledge passed on, great group dynamics. Very enriching, inspiring and motivating content “said one of the participants after the training.
