A few months after the launch of the innovative collaborative initiative “Ensemble et maintenant”, hosted by Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, the first call for projects is open.
The first of its kind in Switzerland, this collaborative initiative was launched by Swiss Philanthropy Foundation together with three other foundations. It allows young people from all walks of life and all backgrounds to get involved in philanthropy by selecting projects carried out by and for young people. A call for participants allowed us to select 10 young people between 18 and 30 years old.
More than ever, it is essential to include young people and give them the means to participate in the construction of tomorrow’s world. Based on this observation, the donor foundations have imagined this innovative project by and for young people in French-speaking Switzerland. A real laboratory, the project aims to integrate them right from the reflection phase on the criteria for the attribution of donations.
The selected participants met several times. They determined and prioritized the causes that were important to them. The group was accompanied by philanthropy experts from WISE – philanthropy advisors for this work. The youth are now looking for projects to support in the following two areas
1- Education, with the aim of promoting social integration;
2- Environment: support and preservation of urban and peri-urban biodiversity with an awareness aspect.
To be eligible, the projects presented must be aimed at young people up to the age of 30 and take place in French-speaking Switzerland.
Criteria of inclusiveness, sustainability, efficiency, measurable impact, transparency and replicability will be used to evaluate the projects.
