As the festive season approaches, we are particularly grateful for the inspiring generosity shown by our donors throughout the year and for their confidence in our solutions to organise and facilitate their philanthropy for projects of general interest. We would also like to thank our partners for the invaluable collaboration and synergies that have enabled us to promote philanthropy even further. This quarter, through our Rapid Response Fund activated in response to the emergency in Lebanon, we continued to support local Lebanese organisations, raising a total of CHF 377,000 to help displaced families affected by the escalation of hostilities. We also completed three years of support for a maternal and child health project in Uganda through our Health Thematic Fund. In addition, the Master Class in Philanthropy, scheduled for the end of March 2025, will soon be fully booked. Our Foundation also supported Swiss donors in their support for the emergency funds set up by our partners in the Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) network in Spain (Valencia) and France (Mayotte). Finally, we also appeared in the newsletter of the Swiss Embassy in France to promote the philanthropy of the Swiss abroad, as part of our partnership with the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad.

This quarter, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation reached several significant milestones. We announced the upcoming Master Class in Philanthropy, scheduled for March 2025. Recently, we activated our Rapid Response Fund to face the crisis in Lebanon. This summer, the total amount of donations we have received since our creation in 2006 surpassed CHF 400 million, and we celebrated the creation of our 100th hosted fund. On the team level, we are recruiting a Project Administrator, while welcoming a new Junior Project Coordinator through our Young Talent Program. The Foundation also actively participated in events, including a workshop on cross-border giving in collaboration with the International Geneva Welcome Centre and the 100th Congress of the Swiss Abroad.

In this month of June, we invite you to discover Demaimpact, a participatory initiative hosted by Swiss Philanthropy Foundation that encourages young people to engage in philanthropy. Recently, this fund has been particularly active. The second cohort of young participants has selected the projects they will support in 2024-2025. Those from the first cohort who chose to support among others IdéeSport had the opportunity to visit the project this year. Additionally, Demaimpact has been featured in two major philanthropic media outlets. Next, we invite you to revisit our event “Inspiring solutions to a world in crisis” followed by a webinar where we presented our bi-annual activity report for the period 2022-2023.
